On the weekend of January 12-14, 2018, the University of Kansas Department of Physics and Astronomy hosted a regional American Physical Society (APS) Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) meeting for undergraduate physics majors in the central region of the United States. Our region includes Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. The meeting was held at the University of Kansas campus in the Kansas Memorial Union. Chi and Fan volunteered at the meeting by hosting a table representing Dept. of Geology during the Network Fair. Our research group is committed to an open, diverse, and inclusive learning and research environment. Align with CUWiP's goal, we believe that an array of values, interests, experiences, and intellectual and cultural viewpoints will not only make us special, but also enrich our participation in research and study.
